I've joined the blogging world...

Well, today I've finally joined the personal blogging world. I've been an outsider for many years because the only blogs I ever saw or read were people who were writing about getting married, being married, changing poopy diapers or scrapbooking.
I never considered my life to be exciting enough to blog about.... But, here's my Story:
I'm on the verge of 28 and not married. In the Mormon culture I'm not exactly a spring chicken. How did I go to BYU for 4 years and come out single you ask? Some people spend 1 semester there and before you know they're out ring shopping. The guy tells the girl that the ring won't be in for weeks, but "unbeknownst" to her he's planning a "surprise" proposal at Temple Square, but only after having a fancy dinner on top of the Joseph Smith Memorial Building. Three months later they're enjoying marital bliss, and 12 months later hearing the pitter patter of little feet and smelling the aroma of freshly dirty diapers.
Where did I go wrong? Where was my semester of dating bliss? Where was my elder's quoroum president? Why wasn't I ring shopping and being publicly proposed to on Temple Square? Was it because I'm not blonde and don't have blue eyes? Was my hair not big enough? Should I have gone tanning more? I'd never encountered such culture in NY where I grew up. I grew up a member of the church but never around so many members. Did I miss something?

Follow my blog and see the ins and outs of the life of an "Old Mormon Maid". How did I get to where I am as a young single member of the church? How did I remain happy? Where am I going and what do I want? What's next on my plate?
